These Terms (the "Terms") govern your use of the Rufe iOS application (the "App"), provided by illumik ("illumik", "we", "us"). By using the App, you ("you", "the User") accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing or using the Rufe application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download or use the App.
2. Description of service
Rufe is a guinea-pig care companion application that allows Users to track their pet's weight, nutrition, health symptoms, medications, vet visits and daily care routines. The App is provided by illumik and is intended as an organisational tool — not as a substitute for veterinary advice.
3. User responsibilities
You are responsible for all data you enter into the App. The App is intended as a tracking and organisational tool and does not provide veterinary medical advice. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for health concerns regarding your pets.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into Rufe.
- You are responsible for backing up your device if you wish to preserve your Rufe data outside of the App.
- You will not use the App in any way that violates applicable law.
4. Data storage
All data entered into Rufe is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit or store your data on external servers. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, your data may be included in your device backup under Apple's iCloud terms — see our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
5. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, code, content and branding, is the intellectual property of illumik. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works based on the App without our written permission. The marks illumik and Rufe are property of illumik.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, nor that it will be suitable for every species, breed or individual situation.
7. Limitation of liability
Illumik shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, data loss or reliance on information provided by the App. You acknowledge that the App is a record-keeping tool and not a clinical instrument.
8. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Substantial changes will be highlighted on the Rufe homepage.
